Emmanuel Viérin (Belgian, 1869 - 1954)

Emmanuel Viérin was a Belgian painter known for his landscape and still life paintings. He was born in 1869 in Brussels and studied art at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Brussels and the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Viérin was a member of the Société Royale des Beaux-Arts in Brussels and exhibited his work widely in Belgium and France. His work is held in numerous public and private collections, including the Musée d'Ixelles in Brussels and the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Tournai. Viérin's paintings are known for their meticulous attention to detail and their subtle, delicate colors, and he often depicted scenes from the countryside and everyday life. He died in 1954 at the age of 85.
